A beta for the Flock web browser was released earlier this week, without much fanfare from those who don’t use it.

Flock is Firefox based browser that incorporates a multitude of social networking sites, to keep you connected to your friends on Facebook, Twitter, digg, Flickr, and more.

The beta is based on the only just released Firefox 3, so it includes all of the new features of it’s Cousin, including hte Awesome Bar, new extensions, better performance.

I first tried Flock back in the pre 1.0 days, and I have to say, it’s come a very long way. I have my Facebook, twitter, pownce, digg, flickr, picasa and Gmail accounts, and I’m not even using half of the features the browser has to offer.
