Gizmodo is claiming a source close to the 3G iPhone release has confirmed that the launch date will be the 9th of June, during the WWDC keynote.

The story also details some interesting details about the differences in how the new phones will be sold.

Unlike the current fixed price point, the phones will be eligible for the normal discounts offered on other phones by Telcos.
