An alarm clock that should never be built →
If you’re like me and have difficulty waking in the morning, this Taiwanese concept will make you shiver.
The Tyrant will randomly place calls to people in your address book if you fail to turn it off. I daresay most people will not be impressed with the idea.

iPhone 3G - Now coming to Telstra →
Telstra today finally announced the iPhone 3G is coming to it’s Next G network.
They are taking pre-registrations, and like Optus and Vodafone before are very hazy on the Plan and pricing details.
As someone in a patchy coverage area for most other carriers 3G networks, this made me very happy.

For $2.99 an episode you can get shows from ABC, Nine, Disney Channel and MTV. The shows themselves include We Can Be Heroes, McLeod’s Daughters, Scrubs and South Park.
Although the price doesn’t compete with the current way to get TV Shows in Oz, it will definately make it easier to watch some of...

Firefox Record :: One big DoS attack →
It is currently 10:25am in San Fransisco, 25 minutes after the Mozilla Foundation released version 3 of their Firefox Browser.
Looks like they underestimated the number of people that would be trying to download it for their Guiness world record attempt, and all of their sites are currently down.
Looks like they will get the record for the “Most Self-Inflicted Denial of Service...

Google preps net neutrality tool →
Google is creating tools to help users discover if their ISP is shaping or throttling their bandwidth.
Apparently when the Net Neutrality debate sparked up, there was a meeting at Google where they discussed the implications, and they almost did nothing, feeling that they had plenty of money to pay ISPs, and that it would help them because smaller sites and startups wouldn’t be able to...

Looks like the ACC is taking the complaints about Ebay’s controversial payment option changes seriously.
They have issued a notice for Ebay to temporarily halt their plans to make PayPal the only payment method on June 17.

Adobe has been developing like crazy lately, adding Buzzword to Photoshop Express released earlier this year. I have only tried it for half an hour, but it looks polished and Adobe is touting it as being better than other offerings from Google and others, because being Flash based it behaves more like a traditional office suite. While it may not replace the Office 2007 install you may (or may...
